christmas wish list...and plenty of it!

i have been seeing wish lists galore online. so, just for fun, i decided to post of couple of things i wouldn't mind having wrapped under the tree!

cozy new boots with fringe.  for the shop, for sitting by a fire, for shopping all over town.

pretty coffee cups.  for those early mornings dates with my marlowe, and for great afternoon chats with company.

pretty pink tumblers.  for sipping, just because i love thin drinking glasses.

sweet striped leggings.  for looking cute and staying warm.

nice soft jacket.  for bundling up and going out.  for  looking great with jeans.

nice fancy dress.  for date nights and parties, for being out on the town.

old fashion record player.  for dancing and singing...for entertaining.

and lastly...something i have been wanting for a really long time.

1981 or 1985 MERCEDES STATION WAGON.  for cruising around town and long family road trips!

all things handmade...

recently i have found it really rewarding creating something and then seeing it on someone or viewing it on display in someone's home.
i love the idea of locally manufactured goods, mom and pop shops and lovely vintage finds.
this christmas my family and i are celebrating with an antique, recycled, vintage theme...
the gift gathering has been fun and i still have a way to go, but it is nice shopping in my hometown and restoring and creating things that otherwise might be thrown away.

this is such an amazing season, so much to celebrate and be thankful for.  so much love to give and joy to spread. 

in all my garland and ornament making, tinsel hanging, christmas caroling and thanks giving i want to remember to be intentional in seeking peace in a time when the hustle and bustle might be overwhelming.  it is always comforting to know that i can rest in the comfort of God's presence in every situation and circumstance.
